Convocation

Convocation ceremonies at Crandall University are held typically in the months of November and May. Degrees and certificates are awarded to students who successfully complete the program requirements as prescribed by the Senate of Crandall University. At Convocation, Crandall University will award degrees and certificates at the undergraduate and graduate levels from a variety of faculties.

Academic Regalia and Convocation-Day Attire

All graduates must wear academic regalia for the ceremony.

Grads will pick up their gowns on November 2, 2023 between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm in Stultz Hall room 177.

Grads must still arrive early for the ceremony to get instruction and the remainder of their regalia.

Grads are asked not to bring valuables with them on this day. Also, grads must ensure that phones are turned off before the procession as well as during the ceremony.

The Ceremonies

The ceremonies will take place in the Brinton Auditorium, which is located on Murray Hall’s main level.

Conferral of Certificates and Degrees

There is no grad rehearsal, but students are asked to meet in Stultz Hall room 117/127 an hour early to receive their instructions regarding how to line up and how the conferral of certificates and degrees will take place.

Issuing of Parchments

Parchments will be handed out during Convocation. For those who have requested that the parchments be mailed to them, parchments will be mailed the week following Convocation.

Please return academic regalia to Stultz Hall room 117/127 after the ceremony. Please feel free to take a few minutes for pictures with family, friends, and faculty/staff members before returning the regalia, however.
